A restful Sunday!

Emily (my granddaughter) and I have had a very lazy day here today after a really tiring Saturday.  My friend Ginny and I organised a Jubilee Craft and Gift Fair in Market Rasen and we were delighted with the quality and variety of items offered for sale.  It was a welcoming and colourful display put on by stall holders exhibiting their excellent handmade products.

I ran a "Make and Take " table to show the quality and versatility of Stampin'Up products and lots of people came along and made a card.  But gosh, I was tired by the end of the day!!

I keep forgetting to tell you that Robbie won the border punch I offered during sale-a-bration.  She was certainly delighted with it.  Having seen many of her lovely cards I know she will make good use of the lovely design.

I also forgot to include a photo of the swaps I made for the training in Leamington, so here it is!  I really enjoyed using the super Pocket Silhouettes Stamp Set and I think the combination of Pool Party and Island Indigo inks looks good. You can't see from the photo but the bottom half of the card is embossed using the Perfect Polka Dots embossing folder and the ribbon  is either Victoria or the delicate Chantilly trim backed with DSP.
Many thanks to all those who swapped with me.  I brought home some great cards and lots of ideas.

Really pleased that our Stampers Six is up and running.  Maxine won the draw and will get the first hostess goodies.

Don't forget Sincerely Yours at the Lincs Show Ground on Sunday.  Hope to see you there.

I wish you all the very best from Lincolnshire.
Many thanks for reading this.
Happy crafting!  Mandy  (mandy1390@yahoo.co.uk)

May 2012

On Saturday I went with Zoe and two other team members to Leamington for a day of 'training',  meeting fellow demonstrators and getting lots of tips and ideas to carry us through the next few months.  In fact, enough ideas to keep me going for a long time!!  Such a good theme too, My Way, it meant there was something for everyone.   Many thanks to Zoe, Peg, Sandra and Rachel for setting up the really useful "Share Fair". The hard work was certainly worth it.
And a special thank you to Jenny McCormack for her interesting talk on Workshops, a timely reminder of some things we never do and others we have forgotten about.
It was a really interesting and useful day.  Many thanks, Zoe, for  driving us there safely and for the scenic tour of the roundabout!

We made some great cards in April at our classes using, amongst other products, the lovely Everything Eleanor stamp set and the Lace Ribbon Border punch.
I have really come to appreciate the new In-Colours after initially being a bit doubtful about them.  They co-ordinate so well together.

Ginny made these cards with her group last Monday using the Greenhouse Garden stamp set and the Daisies die.  She has become a 'dab hand' at using the Stamp-a-ma-jig, too.

Have you thought about buying the wonderful Simply Scored tool?  I have been wanting such a board for ages and now it is here.  After watching Peg Coombes make boxes with the diagonal plate I can't wait to get started.
Loved this 'wreath' on Zoe's table made using the Simply Scored tool and some lovely DSP.
This stunning 'wallet' on Peg's table was made using the Twitterpated DSP.

At last week's class we had a go at making Darlene Poltinski's pansies and this is Rita's card.

And here is Robbie's card.  They turned out rather well.

Our next few classes are listed below, don't miss out on learning new techniques and enjoying crafting with like minded friends.
