Am I the only one who has been having problems with their blog recently? I get so frustrated with it that I have just been giving up.......have written this bit several times now....let's hope I can actually finish this post with out screaming at the computer!!!
However, thanks to the snow there have only been a couple of classes to report on, so here goes.
On the 8th January we had a great time learning how to use a brayer and a new (to us!) sponging technique. The results with the brayer were stunning and I really like the Stampin'Up Serene Silhouettes Stamp Set. It certainly lends itself to this kind of technique. However!!!! the sponging didn't come out so well, due mainly I think, to people having the torn card upside down...we will have to have another go very soon and see if we can achieve better results.
We began by making one of Ginny's cards, the same basic idea but they all looked very different at the end! Here are just a few......
Alison's card |
This one was made by Lucy. |
Sheila's card. |
Dawn's card. We used the new Sizzlits Paper Doily and various retired double sided papers. Ginny's idea of a vellum scalloped circle with Rhinestones stuck on was a nice finishing touch. |
After the cards, Rita cut the cake that Dawn had made made and we all enjoyed some lively chat, a piece of scrummy cake and a drink to finish off.
Many thanks to all who came to 'sing', Dawn who made the beautifully decorated cake and all who contributed to the flowers which were from 'Flowers by Design', Nettleham, Lincoln. They were lovely.
Last week I went to meet some super ladies at the Boultham Park Bowls Club. I will put their cards in next time and give a report on the team training at Zoe's yesterday.
Well, I seem to have got to the end more successfully today. Still the photos are not in the right places but it is progress so I will go ahead and publish.
Thanks for stopping by. Happy crafting. Mandy.
How lovely to see friends sharing crafting and cake! What more could you want in life! I love all the cards too they're very pretty. Zx
