Boultham Park Bowls Craft Club

Here are one or two of the cards made at our workshop in January.  The Stampin'Up Lovely as a Tree stamp set was very popular.

The ladies were very welcoming  and chatty and Dawn and I had a very enjoyable afternoon.  I look forward to seeing them again soon.

Happy crafting.   Mandy x

Training !

On the last Saturday in January  some  of the demonstrators in Zoe's team and one or two special friends met together for a day of crafting and discussion.  It was a great day with lots of information and the chance to craft with products from the Spring / Summer catalogue.
Amongst other things we watched a webinar about Sale-a-bration which promoted plenty of ideas and suggestions of new strategies to think about.
This is a super idea for a hostess gift, a bright, colourful packet containing some matching cards and envelopes.

This time a simple box decorated with the Secret Garden stamp set.

A fabric covered box all ready for a small gift or some matching cards and envelopes.

We had a really good day and it was great to meet up with fellow demonstrators who have become friends, and swap ideas and expertise.  We really are a vibrant and enthusiastic crowd!
If you would like to join us at the next training all you have to do is sign up, receive £130 worth of products for £99 and enjoy a 20% discount on your future orders.  It is a win win situation.  Why not email me for more information.

A quiet moment!

At Last!!!

Good afternoon all,

Am I the only one who has been having problems with their blog recently?  I get so frustrated with it that I have just been giving up.......have written this bit several times now....let's hope I can actually finish this post with out screaming at the computer!!!

However, thanks to the snow there have only been a couple of classes to report on, so here goes.

On the 8th January we had a great time learning how to use a brayer and  a new (to us!) sponging technique.  The results with the brayer were stunning and I really like the Stampin'Up Serene Silhouettes Stamp Set.  It certainly lends itself to this kind of technique.  However!!!!  the sponging didn't come out so well, due mainly I think, to people having the torn card upside down...we will have to have another go very soon and see if we can achieve better results.

On the 22nd January it was Rita's very special birthday.  She is a lovely person and we all enjoyed singing Happy Birthday to her at our 'special' class.

We began by making one of Ginny's cards, the same basic idea but they all looked very different at the end! Here are just a few......
Alison's card

This one was made by Lucy.

Sheila's card.
Dawn's card.

We used the new Sizzlits Paper Doily and various retired double sided papers.  Ginny's idea of a vellum scalloped circle with Rhinestones stuck on was a nice finishing touch.

After the cards, Rita cut the cake that Dawn had made made and we all enjoyed some lively chat, a piece of scrummy cake and a drink to finish off.

Many thanks to all who came to 'sing', Dawn who made the beautifully decorated cake and all who contributed to the flowers which were from 'Flowers by Design', Nettleham, Lincoln.  They were lovely.

Last week I went to meet some super ladies at the Boultham Park Bowls Club.  I will put their cards in next time and give a report on the team training at Zoe's yesterday.

Well, I seem to have got to the end more successfully today.  Still the photos are not in the right places but it is progress so I will go ahead and publish.

Thanks for stopping by.  Happy crafting.   Mandy.

Feeling Sentimental 2

As promised, here are some more cards from my workshop using the Stampin'Up FREE Sale-a-bration stamp set.  You only have to purchase £45 worth of Stampin'Up excellent products to choose one of the 17 FREEBIES on offer. (The Sycamore Street papers are especially useful and gorgeous!!!)
AND if you decide to sign up as  a demonstrator during Sale-a-bration you will get an extra £25 worth of products for just £99.  This is because Stampin'Up are celebrating 25 years making and selling their quality products.

Anita's card
Lynn's card
This one was made by Janice.
Maxine opted for a square card....
....and so did Lauren, who also used the new Flower Trim, only £6.25 for 1.8 metres...a bargain and so very versatile.
If you would like to make cards when all the materials are provided and some of the ideas!! why not come along to one of our workshops and join  a super group of crafters?  Beginners would be especially welcome.

Happy crafting.  Mandy x
